UP's Safe City Project has recently released new safety guidelines to ensure women safety, elderly and child safety. The plan prohibits private coaching institutes in the state from conducting late evening classes for girls after 8 PM. The District inspector of schools said that classes for boys can be conducted after 8 pm and girls can attend classes online. The plan also proposed to enhance mass surveillance through CCTVs and Facial Recognition Technology at public places as a means to enhance safety in the state.
